While we were in Yellowknife we took Hendrik to the museum. They had a really neat kids display with a miniature log cabin, teepee, and tent frame. These held his attention for all of 10 seconds and he was off running to the Christmas tree again. He spent most of his visiting time at the hospital trying to escape from the hospital room to run down the hall to see the Christmas tree near the nurses desk.
We were very thankful to have Dad with us in Yellowknife when Riley was born. He was there for work but was able to stay at the hotel with us and stay on after the baby was born. Hendrik was thrilled to see his Grand-Barry as he kept going to the hotel room door and asking if he was there almost every evening and then one day he woke up from his nap and there he was! Here is Grand-Barry with Hendrik and with Riley. HOORAY FOR GRAND-BARRY!!
Hendrik loves cameras. It's hard to take pictures of him because as soon as he spots the camera he runs towards it and you often just get a blur or a picture of the top of his head. The other night he figured out how to take pictures of himself. Here are a few...
Hendrik loves his little sister so much. He checks on her regularly to see how she is doing and tends to look quite concerned when she cries. He likes to snuggle his head up against hers and will give her little kisses. Kisses are rarely given to anyone especially someone he has known for so little a time. :)

We are finally home after two weeks in Yellowknife. Riley Lauren was born at 8:10 a.m. on December 12th, weighing in at 8lbs, 11oz. She is a very content baby and we are enjoying her so much. Hendrik is a very proud big brother and is constantly cuddling up to her and giving her little kisses. We will add more pictures later on this week but we thought we should give you a peek right away...
